Bear with me… feeling Time Magazine kc… need to do a review of the year. ![]()
- January - Dad and Mom finally visited us in Cambodia and they got to know our way of life here. They were with us on New Year in Siem Reap and we got to show Angkor Wat to them.
- February - Despite my initial hesitation to fork out $65 a month to get our apartment connected to the Internet since we have Internet in the office anyway, we finally got our DSL. And then, my life changed… I learned to blog.
- March - Nothing much for this month… got immersed in blogging, American Idol, Amazing Race, and Pinoy Big Brother.
- April - After almost two years of Honey holding the fort and myself holding the distasteful role of Madame, we finally got a boss, and she’s great too (sipsip!
).
- Four years and four trial residences in Cambodia, Honey and I finally transfered to the best apartment we’ve had so far.
- We were able to attend something rare and special - a concert at the Angkor Wat at night. - May - I am truly blessed in my life and for once, I was able to share those blessings with the less fortunate.
- June - We were busy with the Philippine Independence Day celebrations in Cambodia.
- Sixter came bearing gifts and was the first guest in our new apartment. She’s also the first family member to attend our Independence Day celebration in Cambodia. Here she is in front of our apartment beside the spirithouse - supposed to ward off ghosts but it didn’t ward off the shopping ghost in her.
- July - always a special month since it’s our anniversary month.
- August - Crazy month! We learned belatedly that we both got promoted in July and eventually, confirmed. Basically, this means that we each get a $10 pay hike.
And… we got stuck in documentation hell!
In addition, we were preparing for our impending trip to the US and practicing for a performance of my choir.
- September - I brought my heart to New York. Honey and I traveled, got to be with the family, and attended my sister’s wedding.
- October and November - ho-hum!
- December - another stellar performance by my choir, the Koro Filipino!
The year wasn’t so bad… no major breakthroughs unlike the year of our wedding and when we moved to Cambodia. Very stable…. just the way I like it. For 2007, I would want to have a *** and buy a *** and get my own domain (Help anyone! How I do that???!). Now those would be major breakthroughs. Will fill in the ***s when we do get them.
But right now, I’m perfectly happy the way things are.
I wish everyone who visits this blog peace and love and prosperity for 2007. May all your dreams come true. Keep dreaming. Keep blogging.
Happy New Year!
